Hyderabad is now making EV charger parts for America & Europe
- Exicom has become the first Indian company to make liquid-cooled power modules, at its Hyderabad plant.
- Fast chargers get very hot, and heat is the main reason their parts fail. Liquid cooling keeps them about 10 degrees cooler than air cooling.
- The first units are being exported to North America and Europe, for Tritium chargers. Exicom purchased the Australian company Tritium in 2024.
- Indian chargers will stay air-cooled for now. Liquid cooling will come here only when faster-charging vehicles arrive, in about two years.
