IIT Madras-backed BodhanAI launches speech AI for 26 Indian languages
- BodhanAI, an IIT Madras-backed initiative, launched Indic-Transcribe for speech recognition in 26 Indian languages and English.
- The AI can understand different accents, mixed-language speech, Romanised text, Sanskrit shlokas and even songs.
- Indic-Transcribe has Core for higher accuracy and Flex for wider language coverage, and uses 1.2 billion parameters.
- The tool will be available on the BodhanAI website from September 5, with early testing already underway in 12 languages.
