India gets its first ISO-certified metro asset management system: What does it mean?
- Delhi Metro Rail Corporation DMRC has become India’s first metro organisation to receive ISO 55001:2024 certification.
- The certification covers DMRC’s asset management for the 33.5-km Mumbai Metro Line-3, connecting Colaba, Bandra and SEEPZ.
- It recognises DMRC’s risk-based, lifecycle-focused system for managing trains, signalling, tracks, stations and other infrastructure.
- DMRC says the certification will help improve safety, reliability, efficiency and sustainability across metro operations.
