India proposes 5-year extension for green commercial vehicle age limits
- India's Road Transport Ministry proposed extending the age limit of green commercial vehicles by five years.
- Age limits of 12 and 15 years would be extended to 17 and 20 years for battery, hydrogen and natural gas vehicles.
- National permit holders could opt for five-year authorisations instead of annual renewals at a total fee of Rs 82,500.
- A chassis without a body would get six-month temporary registration, extendable by 30 days at a time if in a workshop.
