India's coconut exports jumped 62% in one year
- Coconut product exports rose to ₹7,038 crore in 2025-26, up from ₹4,349 crore the year before.
- India ranks first in the world in coconut production, at 31.24 percent of global output.
- The growth is from value-added goods like virgin coconut oil, coconut water, coconut milk and activated carbon, which is made from shells and used in water filters.
- These are reaching new markets in the US, Europe and Australia. Coconut farming supports about 3 crore people in India.
