India's highest-paid bank CEO? HDFC Bank proposes massive ₹35.9 crore package for Anup Bagchi

HDFC Bank proposed a ₹35.9 crore annual pay package for incoming CEO Anup Bagchi, on October 8.
His package includes ₹8.97 crore in fixed pay and ₹26.92 crore in performance-linked incentives.
Bagchi will also receive a ₹7.35 crore joining bonus, potentially taking his total package above ₹43 crore.
Bagchi takes charge on 27 October 2026, replacing Sashidhar Jagdishan, subject to shareholder approval.
