India's clothing industry set for massive growth, projected to cross ₹12 lakh crore by 2029

A study projected India's apparel market to reach $146.3 billion ₹12 lakh crore by 2029, On October 7.
The market grew from $49.3 billion in 2020 to $95.7 billion in 2025 and is expected to expand 9% annually.
The Clothing Manufacturers Association of India and research firm 1Lattice released the joint market study.
Rising demand in smaller cities, changing lifestyles and greater spending on women's and children's clothing drive growth.
