ISRO staff body demands safeguards for LVM3 and NGLV amid private participation
- Employee associations of ISRO first raised concerns in a letter to the chairman on 4 September, a day after GSLV-F17 launch.
- ISRO Chairman V Narayanan responded that there was no move to privatise the agency, seeking to allay staff concerns.
- In a fresh note issued on Thursday, the Joint Action Council said private participation must not weaken ISRO's core functions.
- The note said technologies like the LVM3 and under-development NGLV rockets must remain fully within ISRO's control.
