Karnataka declares Tulu second additional official language in Dakshina Kannada, Udupi
- Karnataka declared Tulu the second additional official language in Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts.
- CM DK Shivakumar announced this at a historic Cabinet meeting held in Mangaluru for the first time on Friday.
- The Cabinet also approved projects worth Rs 32,611 crore, including Rs 16,000 crore for rural infrastructure.
- A new tourism policy was approved, and public opinion will be sought on renaming Dakshina Kannada to Mangaluru.
