OpenAI launches ChatGPT Ads in India with WPP, Omnicom: How will it work?
- OpenAI launched ChatGPT Ads in India on August 27, introducing advertising within the AI chatbot experience for Free and Go tier users as it expands its revenue model.
- Advertising giants WPP and Omnicom became OpenAI’s first agency partners in India, helping brands with campaign strategy, creative development and measurement.
- More than 50 brands are expected to participate in the initial rollout, with OpenAI planning a self-serve ChatGPT Ads Manager launch in India from September 4.
- OpenAI said ads will remain separate from ChatGPT responses, and advertisers will not get access to users’ conversations, chat history or personal data.
