Plant-based protein market in India set to hit Rs 9,000 crore in 5 years, says PBFIA
- The Plant Based Foods Industry Association said the market is projected to reach Rs 9,000 crore soon.
- "The country is witnessing a clear shift from calorie-consciousness to nutrition consciousness, with protein emerging as a key choice," says PBFIA Executive Director Praveer.
- He also mentioned that the plant-based food sector is growing at around 18% annually and is currently valued at Rs 4500 crore.
