PM Modi arrives in Tashkent, begins two-nation visit to Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan
- PM Narendra Modi arrived in Tashkent on Saturday, beginning his two-nation visit to Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan.
- Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev received him at the airport.
- Modi will hold talks with Mirziyoyev on trade, defence, energy and digital connectivity during his August 29-30 state visit.
- He will then travel to Bishkek for the 26th SCO Summit from August 31 to September 1, where regional security and cooperation will be key issues.
