Supreme Court to hear plea over 47 lakh names dropped from Delhi’s draft voter list on September 22
- The Supreme Court on Thursday agreed to hear a plea on the deletion of 47 lakh names from Delhi's electoral roll.
- The matter is scheduled for 21 September, alongside other petitions on Special Intensive Revision exercises.
- Advocate Prashant Bhushan said the EC had notified 33 lakh voters but not disclosed names or reasons for deletion.
- The EC said deletions followed identifying 43.32 lakh shifted or absent voters, 2.82 lakh deceased, and 1.41 lakh duplicates.
