Tamil Nadu CM Vijay announces 3 free LPG cylinders, wider free bus travel
- Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Joseph Vijay announced three free LPG cylinders a year for families earning below ₹2.5 lakh.
- The Annapoorani Super Six scheme will begin from Pongal 2027 and is expected to benefit around 1.30 crore families.
- The scheme is estimated to cost the state ₹4,000 crore annually and aims to ease the financial burden of rising cooking costs.
- Vijay also announced free bus travel for transgender people and expanded women’s travel benefits under the Vettri Payanam scheme.
