Tamil Nadu CM Vijay expands free breakfast scheme to Classes 6-8 statewide
- Tamil Nadu CM Vijay on Tuesday extended the school breakfast programme to Classes 6 to 8.
- He launched the expansion at a Government Middle School in Thiruvanmiyur, Chennai, and served breakfast to students.
- The move covers nearly 15.30 lakh additional students across 15,454 government and aided schools statewide.
- The scheme, earlier limited to Classes 1-5, now offers free morning meals to all students from Classes 1 through 8.
