Army launches AASHVAST labs to detect drone firmware flaws

  • The Indian Army is setting up six AASHVAST cyber labs to detect hidden vulnerabilities in military drones.
  • One lab is already operational in Delhi, while at least five more are planned across the country.
  • The system can detect about 14 types of threats, including hidden code, passwords and remote-access tools.
  • The checks will also identify Chinese-origin components and later expand to Army CCTV camera purchases.
