EC says SIR notice does not mean your voter ID will be deleted
- The Election Commission has clarified that SIR notices do not mean a voter’s name will be deleted from Delhi’s electoral rolls.
- Over 33.1 lakh voters received notices over “no mapping” or “logical discrepancies” in their electoral details.
- Several prominent figures, including Arvind Kejriwal, S Jaishankar and LK Advani, are among those who received notices.
- Voters can submit documents and responses to the Electoral Registration Officer or Booth Level Officer; notices are scheduled to be disposed of by October 29.
