Aadhaar biometric authentication becomes mandatory for subsidised LPG refills from October 1
- Domestic LPG consumers must complete biometric Aadhaar authentication to get subsidised refills from October 1, 2026.
- Those who have already completed authentication do not need to do it again and can continue booking refills as usual.
- Consumers can authenticate during delivery, at their LPG distributor’s showroom or through their oil company’s app.
- Those who do not complete authentication can still get LPG, but only at the market price without subsidy.
