Bengaluru airport Metro link delayed to March 2028
- Bengaluru’s 58-km Blue Line from Central Silk Board to Kempegowda International Airport will fully open by March 2028.
- The Central Silk Board–KR Pura stretch is expected to begin commercial operations by mid-2027.
- The Hebbal–airport section is targeted for opening by September 2027, before the entire corridor is completed.
- Delays are linked to difficult construction near Hebbal–Kempapura, where infrastructure is being built to integrate the future Orange Line.
