Four big Telugu films must now hand over 20% of their extra ticket money
- The Telangana Home Department issued the order on August 18, covering Peddi, The Raja Saab, Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu and Akhanda 2.
- All four were allowed to raise ticket prices for a short period after release. The government now wants 20 percent of that extra revenue.
- The money goes to the Telugu Film Industry Employees Federation Welfare Association, run by the Telangana Film Development Corporation, for workers and daily wage technicians.
