Intel drops below 70 per cent of the CPU market for the first time in 31 years

- AMD Advanced Micro Devices, Intel’s main rival, saw its market share rise to a record 30.7%.
- Intel’s data-centre business grew, but desktop CPU sales fell over 20% year-on-year in Q2.
