‘Like a bomb blast’: Tamil Nadu pilgrims recall Nepal flood horror
- Twenty-one Tamil Nadu pilgrims rescued from Nepal returned to India after surviving the devastating flash floods.
- The pilgrims said they heard a loud noise “like a bomb blast” before the floods struck their convoy of three buses.
- They escaped by climbing onto the buses and then moving uphill to a nearby police camp, where they received shelter.
- The group was later airlifted to Kathmandu and returned to India with help from the Indian Embassy.
