Mumbai's BMC collects 2,755 tonnes of Ganesh idol waste over 12 days post-festival
- The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation collected 2,754.85 tonnes of post-immersion idol material from September 16 to 27.
- The biggest collection came on September 26, with 510.92 tonnes cleared in one day.
- K/West ward, covering Andheri West, Juhu and Versova, collected the most at 314.82 tonnes.
- The Bombay High Court directed that the collected materials undergo environmentally sustainable processing at a facility.
