Hyderabad’s Tejas Food Industries faces second US FDA alert in 15 months over Fish Masala
- The US FDA placed Tejas Food Industries’ Fish Masala on its Salmonella import-alert Red List in August 2026.
- Listed Fish Masala shipments can now be detained at US ports without the FDA physically examining them first.
- The public FDA entry does not identify a contaminated batch or confirm that a specific Tejas shipment tested positive.
- Tejas was also flagged in June 2025 for Masala Peanut under a separate FDA alert covering mycotoxins such as aflatoxins.
