Hyderabad keeps building homes faster than buyers can buy them, unsold stock rises 21%
- Hyderabad had 1.42 lakh unsold homes in the first half of 2026 January–June, up 21% from a year earlier.
- Developers launched 49,656 homes but sold only 26,068, with home sales falling 13% compared with last year.
- Only 21% of unsold homes are ready or due in 2026; most are still under construction for completion from 2027.
- Nearly half of the unsold homes cost above ₹1.5 crore, and the existing stock could take about 29 months to sell.
