Telangana SIR deletes 73 lakh voters, Hyderabad tops the list
- Telangana's electoral roll shrank from 3.38 crore to 2.65 crore, a 21.7% dip, after the Special Intensive Revision.
- 19.41 lakh of the 73.39 lakh deleted voters are from Hyderabad, the highest of any district in the state.
- "Permanently shifted" accounted for 45.19 lakh deletions; 9.22 lakh were due to death and 11.26 lakh untraceable.
- Deleted voters can still file Form 6 during the claims and objections period to get back on the rolls.
