1 in 5 Karnataka voters dropped from draft rolls after SIR
- Karnataka's draft voter roll dropped to 4.46 crore from 5.54 crore before the SIR, a fall of about 19.4%.
- Notices go to 43 lakh people whose enumeration forms had anomalies or couldn't be mapped to old records.
- 65.4 lakh voters were marked permanently shifted, 12.3 lakh dead, 15.1 lakh absent and 7 lakh duplicate entries.
- Highest deletions came from Bengaluru's urban districts; final rolls are due October 27 after objections.
